Come relax with us at the Oregon Lavender Festival July
10 - 11, 2010
Plan
to join us at the 2010 Oregon Lavender Festival to enjoy
the Oregon countryside at its fragrant best. Dozens of different
lavender destinations throw their doors open to the public so
that visitors can experience Lavender in Oregon firsthand by
touring lavender farms, lavender nurseries, and the lavender-based
Artisan Fair in Yamhill. Expect to Relax! |
Enjoy two days of fun at the Lavender Festival:
Tour Lavender Locations,
each with its own
selection of different varieties of lavender, and each with
its own activities arranged for the festival. At lavender
farms, you can cut your own bouquets of fresh lavender;
at nurseries, you can purchase specialty lavender plants
and speak to experts on growing and cultivating lavender.
Each location has special events planned for the festival
weekend, so be sure to click on the destinations
tour page
to see what each lavender location has to offer.
Artisan
Fair in historic Yamhill celebrates lavender
with dozens of lavender-centric booths featuring
fine arts, crafts, local lavender products for sale, lavender
oil distillation demonstrations, live music, a plein air
art show and sale, craft classes, lavender food, activities
for the kids, master gardeners to provide gardening advice, and
much more.

For
a day or two, leave the world of hustle and bustle, computers,
and chaos to soak in the delights lavender has to offer. Sometimes
simply standing in the midst of a lavender field with its overwhelming
beauty and aroma can be medicine enough to restore calm and recharge
your spirit. |

Lavender Art & crafts
In weeks prior to the festival, plein air artists will capture
colorful local fields on canvas and display their art during the
festival at a juried art show and sale in Beulah Park
in Yamhill.
At the Artisan Fair, and at many of the lavender farms, you can
make your own lavender themed crafts, such as wands, wreaths,
crowns, and sachets. A
diverse range of lavender products will also be for sale, many
created by local craftsmen.
Thanks to our generous sponsors!
Many
thanks to our sponsors and local merchants who have made the festival
possible. Please visit our sponsors page
to read more about them. |
