Plants and products available throughout
the year; contact via e-mail.
On the banks
of the North Yamhill River, in what remains of the old town of
Pike, lies Wild Rain Farm, where we grow 11 varieties of lavender,
bordered by dozens of varieties of poppies and 26 acres of red
clover. There is also a display garden with single
specimens of 36 lavender varieties. The main field of 2000 lavender
plants overlooks a small park and beach on the banks of the river,
where you can relax in chairs or at picnic tables. Bring
your own picnic lunch or pick up a box lunch at the Artisan Fair
in Yamhill. Lavender lemonade and shortbread will be for
sale at the farm during the festival.
Cut your own bunches of lavender, make your own sachets, or
purchase fresh or dried bouquets. Dried loose lavender,
wands, sachets, bath and skin products, essential oil,
lavender blackberry jam, lavender jelly, lavender infused honey,
lavender chocolate, fabric arts, lavender plants, and other plants will
also be for sale. A portion of the proceeds from the festival
will be donated to Homeward Bound, a no-kill animal shelter
in McMinnville.
