Lavender Festival Hours: 12 noon to 6pm

When we purchased the property that would become TeBri Vineyards in 2007, every square foot of the property was planted in pinot noir vines.  While we love those vines and the wines we make from them, there was neither a tree or a spot on the land to place a table where we could sit and enjoy the fruits of our labor.  So, in 2009 we sadly cleared a half acre of grapevines and then happily planted 700 locally developed, Oregon Buena Vista lavender cuttings in a circular pattern and built a gazebo at the center.  So although we started with nothing but a water well and 6 acres of pinot noir vines, and before we ever had plumbing, power, a barn or a home at the vineyard,  TeBri’s Lavender Labyrinth was created!

The labyrinth is a symbol used as far back as ancient times.  A labyrinth differs from a maze in that there are no choices in a labyrinth.  The walk is continuous, leading to the center and back out, while in a maze you make decisions and turns as you seek out the middle or exit.

Our labyrinth, reminiscent of the Chartes Cathedral's tile labyrinth in France, is planted in a ceremonial style design, featuring a dual entryway and mirrored walking paths entering the gazebo in the center, then exiting with a double unified path.  On your visit to TeBri, feel free to wander into the labyrinth and enjoy being surrounded by hundreds of Buena Vistas, then relax in the center gazebo as you listen to the calming hum of the honey bees.

Just next to the Lavender Labyrinth, we have created a smaller 6 circuit turf labyrinth, also in the Chartes' pattern, enabling you to experience the feeling of walking the complete meditative circle.   On the west corner of the gardens, a set of 12 stones sit surrounding a small fire pit, creating TeBri's own stone circle.

TeBri will be open noon to 6pm, July 14 and 15 for the OLA Lavender Festival.  We will be offering pinot noir tastings and sales in the barn.

Directions:

Directions:  Take Hwy 99W to Monroe. Turn left at Orchard Street just south of the Longbranch Bar.  (Right, if you're coming from Corvallis.) Proceed 1½ mile west to Orchard Tract Rd. Turn right.  In 1/4 mile turn left into the TeBri drive, lined with 30 Arborvitae.  You will see the white labyrinth gazebo straight ahead.

For wine tasting, continue up the gravel road to the barn.  Please drive slow.  Watch for visiting children and our vineyard dogs, Nettie, the Boxer pup, Willow the Blue Heeler and Macey, our old Golden, who insist on being the official vineyard greeting committee.
