Open for the 2010 Lavender Festival, 10 am to 5 pm, Friday through Sunday
April through July: Tea and classes by appointment  

Experience historic Helvetia located in the hills just 20 minutes west of Portland. Smell the lavender, enjoy tea in our new Tea Pavilion, relax in our gardens filled with roses and lavender.  During the Festival, the Beltaines and Dan’l McIlhenny will enliven the setting with Celtic and folk music, great lunches will be served, and our artistic vendors will display their creations.  Along with cutting bunches of lavender, wandering in our gardens, enjoying our Saint Bernards,  Mutley and Penny,  and discovering the wonderful products and uses of lavender, you will have the opportunity to make wreaths, bouquets, and wands.  Kids will enjoy creating in our craft booth. Tours of the historic sites and agri-businesses in the area will be conducted during the Festival and by appointment at other times.

Helvetia Gardens will be open from April through July for Tea Service, classes, and u-cut lavender (June - July). Visit our website or call for information and appointments. All the profits from our festival help to fund the work of Good Samaritan Ministries supporting children and orphans in thirty-four countries.

Directions: Take Highway 26 to Helvetia/Shute Road exit #61.  Head north towards the Helvetia Tavern and follow the signs.
