We welcome you to Cordova Crest Farms, where you can stroll
and sit among the many varieties of lavender and the statuesque
oak trees and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Yamhill
County and the Coast Range, while the farm's llamas, alpacas,
sheep, and Nigerian Dwarf Goats (babies, too!) graze in the foreground.
This 20 acre farm is located in the hills overlooking the valley
between McMinnville and Lincoln City . . . just a 30 minute drive
to the Oregon Coast and a 10 minute drive to Spirit Mountain Casino
on Hwy 18. Cordova Crest Farms is a lovely place to enjoy
a bit of the country life.
Cordova Crest Farms, established in 1996, is owned and operated
by Aileen and Darrell Smith; we are continually working to
bring to fruition our vision of a beautiful and harmonious
destination that offers its visitors lavender fields, farm animals,
and an extraordinary Oregon landscape. This year, several
varieties of bamboo have been added to our selection of plants
available for purchase. Bamboo has become increasingly popular
in recent years, having proven itself to be an extremely versatile sustainable
resource, with applications ranging from its elegant
yet hardy role in the landscape to its contribution
to the fight against global warming.
Our farm will be open to welcome guests for the 2009 summer
season on Sundays, from June 14th through the end of July,
or by appointment. U-Pick lavender, plants (over 50
varieties of lavender and herbs), and many farm-produced items,
including our signature lavender products made with our own
lavender oil, will be available in our on-site farm store and on
our Web site. This is the perfect place to bring a picnic
lunch, enjoy a thirst quenching, tongue dazzling lavender lemonade,
and see lavender distilling up close as we show how we are able
produce a lovely variety of lavender oils. This is a great place
to take in a beautiful summer’s day in Oregon!
