Come on out - take it all in!

The Oregon Lavender Festival runs the second weekend in July each year.  The Artisan Fair will feature fine arts, crafts, and local lavender products for sale, lavender oil distillation demonstrations, music, an art show and sale, craft classes, food, and much more. Farms in the area are participating with displays of thousands of lavender plants of many different varieties. Craft your own lavender wand or basket, watch how lavender oil is distilled or taste lavender. Saturate your senses for a day and go home feeling the calming effects of this wonderful herb.

A significant portion of the proceeds from each year's festival are donated to community organizations and charitable organizations.

At the Artisan Fair, and at many of the lavender farms, lavender plants will be for sale. Local growers can answer all your questions about the propagation, cultivation, maintenance, harvesting, and drying of lavender.

You can watch as lavender is distilled to produce the most beneficial essential oil of all and learn about the properties, benefits, and uses of lavender oil, such as natural cures for insomnia and moth repellants.

The Oregon Lavender Festival Paint Out!

In weeks prior to the festival, plein air artists will capture colorful local lavender fields on canvas and display their art during the festival at a juried art show at the Artisan Fair in downtown Yamhill.

The paintings will be on sale for those who would like to take home a very unique and special memento of the Lavender Festival.
